Product Summary
RAD’s Optimux-34 E3 optical line multiplexer multiplexes up to 16 E1 or T1 channels along with Fast Ethernet traffic over a single E3 link. Transmitting over single-mode fiber or multimode fiber as well as E3 coax, the Optimux-34 E3 optical line multiplexer can multiplex aggregate bandwidth up to 34 Mbps for distances up to 110 kilometers (69 miles). Flexible bandwidth management features enable the user to configure both the number of E1/T1 ports and Ethernet bandwidth simultaneously.
The Optimux-34 E3 optical line multiplexer is used to extend E1/T1 lines from an SDH/SONET backbone as well as to fan out E1 lines from an E3 port in cellular backhaul applications over radio. In addition, the Optimux-34 E3 optical line multiplexer offers a low cost alternative to larger and more costly add-drop multiplexers or DACs units.
As an option, the Optimux-34 E3 optical line multiplexer can be equipped with an SFP transceiver, redundant links and power supplies, ensuring transmission reliability and fail-safe.
